The short version: we store the little we need to give you access and keep your notebook working. We show no ads, we sell no data, and we run no advertising pixels or third-party analytics.
Who is responsible
Pena Digital Foundation, 1717 Cagua Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States, is responsible for the data described here. Contact: support@penasfoundation.site.
What we collect
- Your email address, so we can deliver your access link and answer your messages.
- Your purchase record — plan, amount, date and the Stripe transaction reference. We never receive your full card number.
- Your app content — notes, practice cards, bookmarks, learning path progress and streaks.
- Study Guide conversations, kept so the conversation makes sense and so we can enforce message quotas.
- Basic technical logs — access times and error records, kept briefly to keep the service working and secure.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information with anyone.
- We do not show advertising and we do not install advertising pixels.
- We do not run third-party analytics that follow you across other websites.
- We do not read your notebook, and we do not use your notes or conversations to train AI models.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We process your email and purchase record to perform the contract you entered when you bought a plan. We process app content because it is the service itself. We keep technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure service. Where the law of your country requires consent for something, we ask for it.
Who else touches your data
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy.
- Our hosting and email providers — they store and transmit the data on our instruction and may not use it for anything else.
- Our AI provider — the text you send to the Study Guide is transmitted to generate a reply, under contract terms that forbid using it to train models.
We disclose data to no one else, except where a valid legal order requires it.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Data is stored on servers in the United States. We keep your notebook and account while your access is active and for 90 days after it ends, so that you can come back or export your work; after that it is deleted. Purchase records are kept for seven years because tax and accounting rules require it. Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable file. Write to support@penasfoundation.site from your registered address and we respond within 30 days. You can also export your notebook to PDF yourself, at any time, from inside the app.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in California you have the rights described in the CCPA, including the right to know and to delete; we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
Pena Study Daily is intended for learners of secondary school age and above. A learner under 18 should use it with a parent, guardian or teacher, who is responsible for the account. We knowingly collect no data from children under 13; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your interface preferences. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to production systems is limited to the people who maintain them, and payment data never reaches our servers. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority, promptly and in plain language.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, buyers are notified by email before the change takes effect.
